Who this site belongs to

This website is the official site of Bernard Mwambungu, a gospel artist, songwriter and worship leader. It is operated by Bernard Mwambungu and his team.

Information you give us

The site does not require an account and does not ask you for any information in order to browse it. Information is only collected when you choose to submit one of the forms on the site:

  • Contact form — your name, email address, inquiry type, organization or church (optional), subject and message.
  • Booking form — your name, organization or church, email address, phone number (optional), and the event details you provide: event type, date, city, state or country, venue, expected attendance and your message.
  • Newsletter form — your email address only.

How that information is used

Form submissions are used for one purpose: to read and reply to what you sent. Booking inquiries are used to assess and arrange engagements. Newsletter addresses are used to send music, video, worship and ministry updates.

Your information is not sold, rented or traded. It is not used for automated decision-making or profiling.

Where submissions are stored

The site is hosted on Netlify, and its forms are handled by Netlify Forms. When you submit a form, the contents are transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored in the site’s Netlify account, where they can be read by Bernard’s team. Netlify acts as the hosting and form-processing provider for this site and processes the data on our behalf.

Submissions are retained for as long as they remain useful for correspondence and booking records, and are deleted on request.

Spam protection

Each form includes a hidden field that people never see and automated bots tend to fill in. Submissions that complete it are treated as spam. This is the only automated check applied to your message.

Third-party services

A small number of third parties are involved in delivering this site. Each one may see your IP address and browser details as a normal part of serving a request:

  • Netlify — hosting, content delivery and form processing.
  • Google Fonts — the two typefaces used across the site are loaded from Google’s font service.
  • YouTube — where a video is embedded on this site, it is embedded through youtube-nocookie.com, which limits the data YouTube collects until you press play. Pressing play is subject to YouTube’s own privacy policy.
  • Streaming and social platforms — links to Spotify, UnitedMasters, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn take you to those services, where their own privacy policies apply.

Analytics and advertising

This site currently runs no analytics service and no advertising network. No advertising or tracking scripts are loaded, and no advertising identifiers are set. If an advertising network or analytics tool is added in future, this policy and the cookie information page will be updated before it goes live.

Children

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through a form, contact us and it will be deleted.

Your choices

You can ask at any time to see what information has been submitted under your name, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Newsletter recipients can ask to be removed and the address will be taken off the list. Requests are made through the contact form.

Changes to this policy

If the way this site handles information changes — for example, because a newsletter platform, analytics tool or advertising network is introduced — this page will be updated and the "last updated" date above will change.

Questions?

If anything on this page is unclear, or you would like a copy of the information held about you removed, send a message through the contact form and it will be handled by Bernard Mwambungu’s team.
